In 2022, I had spinal surgery that changed how my body moves. I live with chronic pain and a left foot drop. In 2024, I was laid off - and instead of doing what I'd always done, jumping to the next thing to prove I was still capable, I stopped. I chose myself. I chose my marriage, which had been tested in ways I won't fully name here but that brought me to my knees. I chose to be present for my son, our miracle baby. And I chose to do the actual work of rebuilding my identity - not from who I used to be or have been up until now, but from who I was created to become.

I got to learn what it means to say "I am still capable - at a different capacity" and believe it. That work - the quiet, unglamorous, life-changing work of rebuilding from the inside out - is exactly what I now walk alongside others to do.
